OPENLANE, the online auction website for the car trade, has launched a mobile app in order to increase the service level to its customers and thus offering a faster, easier and hassle-free experience.
Easy, fast and hassle-free mobile experience
Gino Vleminckx, CCO of OPENLANE explains: “Nowadays, one out of two visits to our platform are being done via mobile devices, so we noticed that the needs have changed. Firstly, our customers are not always behind their computers when auctions end, for instance because they are busy helping a customer or they are on the road. Secondly, we know that they are always looking for the best deals, anytime, anywhere. At OPENLANE, we understand these needs and believe it’s time to leverage these demands by creating a mobile app for an easy, fast and hassle-free experience when searching and buying vehicles. The app is one of the initiatives that will contribute to increasing our volumes to at least 100,000 units sold in the next years.”
App features
With the app, customers can bid and search for cars anytime and anywhere. They can place and manage bids, bid on various auctions simultaneously, search for cars, check vehicle descriptions, follow up on cars and get real-time notifications of the most important auction events like being overbid.
The OPENLANE app is developed and optimized for use on smartphones. It can be downloaded free of charge as of November 23 in the App Store (iOS) and in Google Play (Android) and is available in 17 languages.
